Inspiration

Lightness, sturdiness and comfort; the new Palau collection by Marc Sadler combines aesthetic perfection and functionality, providing solutions to easily furnish all kind of environments like communal spaces, offices and meeting rooms, Food & Beverage premises, indoors and outdoors.
Available as side chair and armchair characterized by elegant armrests, Palau conveys a feeling of lightness at first glance thanks to its clean and minimalistic yet svelte design. The seat, laying onto four tapered legs, is thin and enveloping to ensure maximum ergonomics.
Palau is available in six different colours.

“Monobloc chair and armchair seemingly simple in design but hiding a considerable technical-productive sophistication. From the generative process capable of translating the imagination into an architecture where for the first time form and function aren’t necessarily related, emerges a seat aiming at suppleness and that has succeeded in conveying it, with a result never seen before on any existing monobloc chair. This is a refined and elegant chair, stacking up to 6 pieces both in the side chair and armchair version, and that guarantees the highest structural standards”. Marc Sadler

Designer Profile

Design by Marc Sadler

One of the first graduates in esthétique industrielle at ENSAD in Paris, he is a  pioneer in experimentation on materials and contamination between technologies - now regarded as distinctive traits of his work.

In the early 1970s he developed the first ski boot in fully recyclable plastic, which went on to be manufactured industrially by the Italian firm Caber, and the eclectic nature of his work has now led to high demand for his consultancy services in a wide range of industrial sectors.  A winner of 4 Compasso d'Oro awards (1994, 2001, 2008 and 2014), 1 Menzione d’Onore (1998) and 2 Selezioni (1994 and 2008) at the ADI (Associazione Design Industriale), he has also received many other accolades at international level over the years.
