Inspiration
design by Marc Thorpe, 2016
Husk is inspired by the outer shell of corn. Corn fields paint the landscape of northern Italy, especially around the city of Udine. Corn is a global resource, crosses borders and takes many forms.
For Thorpe, this is the opportunity to transform the shell architecture of a corn cob into a universally recognizable and accepted everyday product. The Husk project for Moroso's home collection follows the international sensitivity of the M'Afrique outdoor collection, produced in Dakar, Senegal.
