Manolo is born from the need to give dignity to a product considered always secondary and poor.

Manolo is a new concept of shoe cabinet, a stylish and functional product. Finally a shoe rack that should not be hidden but that wants to be exhibited in the domestic environment.

I would like to introduce myself:

I’m Idelfonso Colombo; I graduated in Industrial Design at the Design faculty of Milan Politecnico University and in 1997 I received the 3rd prize at the competition for designers “Young and Design” thanks to the kitchen “ildoga”, a very important prize because for the first time it was awarded to a program of furniture and not only to an object. I continue to collaborate with Milan Politecnico Uni-versity, where I teach in laboratories of design for innovation . I founded in 1998 my design studio “Colombo Idelfonso Industrial Designer” , which from the beginning plans and designs the product, it does technical consultancy, artistic direction, development and design of fair stands and com-mercial complex. Everything in furniture area. My office always looks for solutions of clients’ needs, for example: Citterio Cucine, Minotti Italia, Salvarani, Feg, Aico, Martex, S. Michele, Clever, Forma 2000, Favero, Fendi Casa, Cof Cucine, Vismaravetro, Doimo Cityline, Doal, Ligne Roset, Chateau d’Ax, BR&A, Trafomec, Brinna, QY, M&Z, Ruifeng, Porada, Proxima, Eveniland, Scavolini. Customers usually address to me for concept creation, which allow to reach new markets and sat-isfy new needs, looking into the market without loosing sight of the importance of industrial process at the base, focus on which I am a good expert. At the same time, during the years I become an Interior designer, attending to furniture solutions for hotels, villas and residential turnkey complex.
